Significant possibly record rainfall on the way this weekend!

Current models indicate rainfall amounts of up to 160mm falling in parts of Alberta over the weekend, The bulk of it falling in a 24 hour period. Imbedded thunderstorms could drive localized amounts even higher. A note that these forecast amounts exceed all time single day records for many of the effected areas. Also with much of the record mountain snow pack yet to melt there is a possible risk of river flooding of many major rivers in west central Alberta. Stay tuned for updates

    I assume you mean the weekend following. Looks like a slow mover too… I already see kayaks on the commute…
